The Malta Institute of Accountants supports BEATING HEARTS MALTA at the MIA Members’ Social
During the MIA Members’ Social, the Institute’s members will get a sneak-peak of a mini-exhibition entitled “The Shape of Things to Come” by Prof Victor Grech, Consultant Paediatrician (Cardiology) and Chair of Beating Hearts Malta.
As part of Beating Hearts Malta’s fundraising efforts, a series of photography exhibitions will be held comparing various locations. With the theme "A Tale of Two Cities", the Institute’s members could pre-book any of eight prints from these two exhibitions which will be available for sale during the Members’ Social. This preview will contrast Manhattan and Valletta, and Manchester (as a canal city) with Malta's Grand Harbour area.
Beating Hearts Malta has set a bold target to co-fund innovative medical equipment in the field of Congenital Heart Defect. CHD is an irregularity in the structure of the heart, often present at birth in children and persisting through adulthood.
Now Beating Hearts Malta is pursuing its most ambitious goal yet: acquiring a dedicated cardiac magnetic resonance imaging machine for the Cardiology Department at Mater Dei Hospital. The life-changing equipment captures images of the heart and arteries to provide vital information to healthcare professionals both before and after CHD surgery.
More information on how to pre-book the prints and how to donate to Beating Hearts Malta is available here
The Institute appeals to your generosity to help Beating Hearts Malta raise the necessary funds for this crucial piece of technology.
The MIA Members’ Social will be held on Wednesday 19th June.
