    The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) has become aware of an entity by the name of Mistral Trading which has an internet presence at https://mistraltradingltd.com/. This website is using the details of a Maltese Registered Company, Mistral Trading Limited (C 85815), which is a shipping company and does not offer financial services. Fraudsters are using the details of this genuine company in an effort to deceive the public. The Authority would like to alert the public that https://mistraltradingltd.com/ is NOT a Maltese registered company NOR is it authorised to provide any financial services in or from Malta. Additionally, the MFSA confirms that https://mistraltradingltd.com/ has NO association with the Maltese registered company Mistral Trading Limited (C 85815).

    A number of taxpayers have received a letter from an entity called 'VRE', in which they are asking Maltese VAT registered persons to input the VAT number in the letter, sign and return such letter to a PO Box address in Germany. Please ignore such letters, since anyone signing and returning the letter will be entering into an advertising contract for an annual fee.

    The Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA”) has become aware of an entity operating under the names of Paramount FX Trade or PFXT Ltd which has an internet presence at https://paramountfxtrade.com/. The entity claims to be “a regulated broker by the MFSA over 7 years” and “a market maker for CFD and Spot FX Contracts”.
    This website is making unauthorised use and reference to the registered address and other company details of a Maltese licensed company.
    The MFSA wishes to alert the public that Paramount FX Trade or PFXT Ltd are NOT Maltese registered Companies NOR licenced or otherwise authorised by the MFSA to provide the service of an exchange or other financial services which are required to be licenced or otherwise authorised under Maltese law. The public should therefore refrain from undertaking any business or transactions with the above-mentioned entities.

    The Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit ("FIAU") has issued three informative fact sheets in recent weeks.
    These new publications are meant to provide the subject persons and the public with insights into the various sectors and topics, as derived from the strategic analysis carried out.
    The figures and observations included in these publications are based on suspicious activity and transactions reports, domestic and international requests for information received by the FIAU, as well as the ensuing analysis of these.
    The first factsheets cover:
    i) Cash usage, tax crimes, corruption and bribery,
    ii) Key figures and observations based on 2019 STRs received from the Remote Gaming Operators and
    iii) Strategic analysis on Intelligence presenting an international element.

    The MFSA wishes to alert the public that Livia Options or LvO Ltd is NOT a Maltese registered Company NOR licenced or otherwise authorised by the MFSA to provide any forex trading services or other financial services which are required to be licensed or otherwise authorised under Maltese law. Furthermore, information available to the MFSA suggests that Livia Options or LvO Ltd is likely to be a scheme of dubious nature with a high risk of loss of money. The public should therefore refrain from undertaking any business or transactions with the above-mentioned entity.

    The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) has become aware of an entity operating under the name of BitboostingBitboosting claims to be a regulated “Online trading platform for Forex, Cryptocurrencies, Commodity and Investment place”.
    The MFSA wishes to alert the public, in Malta and abroad, that Bitboosting is NOT a Maltese registered Company NOR licensed or otherwise authorised by the MFSA to provide any investment services, VFA related services or other financial services which are required to be licensed or otherwise authorised under Maltese law.

    The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) has become aware of a website which has been branded with the same name and details as those used by a local registered company, but which is not in linked in to the licensed entity. The website https://www.zenithfinanceltd.com/ (the “unauthorised website”) is making unauthorised use of a similar name and reference to the registered office address of a Maltese registered and licensed company, Zenith Finance Limited (C 42720) which has an internet presence at https://zenithgroup.com.mt/.
    The MFSA would like to inform the public that the unauthorised website is NOT linked in any way to any Maltese registered company NOR licensed or otherwise authorised by the MFSA to provide investment services or other  financial services in or from Malta which are required to be licensed or otherwise authorised under Maltese law.

    The Commissioner for Revenue notifies that a new version of the YA2020 company tax return (version 1.6) will be made available on the portal as from 18th September 2020. Version 1.6 of the return will include an updated version of TRA112 which attachment needs to be filled in by taxpayers falling within scope of Rule 7 of the European Union Anti-Tax Avoidance Directives Implementation Regulations (Controlled Foreign Company Rule).
    The information requested in TRA112 is being revised in order to reduce the administrative burden involved in completing the said attachment.

This website is making unauthorised use of a similar name and reference to the registered office address of a Maltese registered company, Ages Investments Limited (C 81374).
    The Authority would like to inform the public that Ages Investment Limited is NOT a Maltese registered company NOR licensed or otherwise authorised by the MFSA to provide the service of an exchange or other financial services which are required to be licensed or otherwise authorised under Maltese law.
