Background Information

Following the shortcomings from the 5th Moneyval report, the MFSA is taking action and finding de-risking solutions to raise the bar in the financial services sector. One of the actions is explained in the consultation paper; “Raising the bar for company service providers (CSP)”.

A meeting is being organised for MIA members to voice their opinion on this consultation issued by the MFSA. The consultation which is due for the 22nd of November 2019 will be affecting all professionals in Malta acting as CSPs. In view of this the MIA wants to hear your concerns on the regulation being introduced. You are kindly requested to read the consultation prior to this meeting, so that you can come prepared. It will be an open discussion so you will be given time to speak up and raise your concerns. The MIA feels that if we respond to this consultation collectively, we will be more productive, so stand to be counted and attend this open discussion.
