MIA Football Tournament in aid of Beating Hearts Malta

Description

The Institute and its Young Members Group are organising a football tournament in aid of Beating Hearts Malta (BHM). BHM is an independent non-profit organisation established primarily to support the needs of adults and children born with a Congenital Heart Defect. The event is also a great opportunity to meet up with old and new fellow accountants and MIA members.

You can register and pay for each team through the MIA website. Please register each team only once.

Details of event are as follows:

Date: Saturday 26th October 2019
Time: 8:15AM to 3:30PM
Location: St. Martin’s College
Registration fee: €70 per team

Upon booking and payment, the team’s captain is to send an email to Reuben on reubendebono@gmail.com and Daniel on d.mifsud88@gmail.com with the following details:

  1. Team Name
  2. Team Captain (must be an MIA Member)
  3. Number of players - Maximum of 8

Availability is on a first come, first served basis. Few spaces left - book now!

Free water will be available for players participating in the tournament.

A trophy presentation will be held at the end of the event.

 

In the run-up to the event, we invite you to make your online donation to BHM via this link. Please advise your name and ID card number which will be used to send you a receipt.

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply:

1. Bookings
1.1 Bookings can only be made online. Bookings by telephone or email are not accepted.
1.2 Bookings are on a first-come-first served basis.

2. Participation Fees
2.1 The Institute has different participation fees for its events.
2.2 All events organised by the Institute are VAT exempt.

3. Payment
3.1 Payment must be settled in advance of the event. Online bookings must be accompanied by online payment. All major cards are accepted.

4. Billing Details
4.1 Invoices and receipts can only be issued on behalf of the person registering for the whole team.

5. Confirmation
5.1 A confirmation email will be sent to the person who books upon completion of booking and payment.

6. Substitute Delegates
6.1 Where a substitute team will be attending on behalf of the team who initially made the booking, both teams are requested to email Rueben on reubendebono@gmail.com and Daniel on d.mifsud88@gmail.com.

7. Parking
7.1 Where events are held at the Tower Training Centre in Swatar, delegates may use the parking facilities available at Level -5. Access to the parking is available from Luigi Onofrio Street.
7.2 Where events are held in alternative venues other than the above, parking facilities will be specified in the event’s dedicated webpage.

8. Certificate of Attendance & CPE Hours
8.1 A certificate of attendance will not be issued for this event.

9. Photography and Filming during the Event
9.1 The Malta Institute of Accountants might take photos during the event(s). These images will be used by the Institute to share news about the event in newsletters, the Annual Report, The Accountant journal, and printed publicity. Photos shall also be published on MIA’s Facebook, Linkedln, and Twitter. Such images may be used to publicise future events of the same nature and for reporting purposes.
If you are an attendee and would prefer not to be photographed, or in the future you decide that you would like the Institute to delete your images, you may advise the Institute’s team by sending an email on info@miamalta.org at any time.

10. Data Protection
10.1 Refer to the MIA Privacy Notice for Events.

By registering on behalf of the team, the person who registers is automatically accepting these terms and conditions on behalf of each team member.

By Registering and/or Booking for this event, you agree that MIA will collect your information, who will be using it as per the MIA Privacy Policy for Events. Please read the MIA’s Privacy Notice for Events in its entirety which can be found at this link. By accepting to participate in this event you accept that MIA shall process personal data in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

If registration is being affected by a company or other corporate entity on behalf of an attendee or the registering company or other corporate entity supplies to the MIA personal data of third parties, such as of employees, affiliates, management companies or service providers, the registering company or other corporate entity shall be solely responsible for making sure that the provision of such data to the MIA fully complies with applicable laws and the relevant person in regard to whom the data relates has been provided with the necessary information at law regarding the MIA’s processing of his personal data. 
 
Any information notices, consents or other applicable requirements that may be required to be fulfilled for the provision of third party data to the MIA shall be borne solely by the registering company or other corporate entity. The registering company or other corporate entity hereby fully indemnifies the MIA and shall render the MIA completely harmless against all costs, damages or liability of whatsoever nature resulting from any claims or litigation (instituted or threatened) by any third party against the MIA as a result of the provision of any third party personal data to the MIA by the registering company or other corporate entity.
