• Employed with Price Waterhouse Malta in 1980, progressing to Audit Partner on 1 Jan 1994 and subsequently Partner in charge of Taxation Services in 1995
• Seconded to Price Waterhouse London Audit between 1986 / 87, and performed several consultancies on behalf of Price Waterhouse Italy between 1987 and 1992 at a major UN Organisation based in Rome in connection with the accounting aspects of a project for the development of customised financial accounting software for the Organisation
• Withdrew from Price Waterhouse Malta on 1 Jan 1997 to launch Curmi Paris Scicluna & Co, which positioned itself as a reputable local mid-tier audit & accountancy practice
• Widespread audit experience, particularly in service and manufacturing companies
• Partner with Deloitte Malta as from 1 Jan 2005 following merger with Curmi Paris Scicluna & Co
• Appointed National Professional Practice Director with Deloitte Malta responsible for technical accounting and auditing matters as from 1 Jan 2005
• Elected Council Member of the Malta Institute of Accountants practically interruptedly since 1991, and active member of several technical sub-committees
• Actively involved between 2006 – 2008 in writing of local accounting standards for Maltese smaller entities - General Accounting Principles for Smaller Entities (GAPSE)
• Chairman between 2004 - 2005 of MIA Committee debating possible introduction of audit thresholds and alternative assurance reports in Malta
• In 2009 appointed member of task force of the European Federation of Accountants (FEE) to review the Implementation of International Standards on Auditing in the European Union
• Elected President of the Malta Institute of Accountants in mid-2009
• Since 1 Jan 1997 appointed by the Maltese Minister of Finance as member of the Accountancy Board, official regulator of the accountancy profession in Malta
• Actively involved between 2006 and 2008 in amendments to local legislation in connection with the transposition of the EU Statutory Audit Directive and amendments to legislation prescribing local auditing and accounting standards
• Since late 2008, Technical Advisor to the Maltese representative at the EU Audit Regulatory Committee
• Since 2002 member of the Small and Medium Practices (SMP) Committee of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), including predecessor bodies, on behalf of the Malta Institute of Accountants

• Since 2006 representative of the IFAC SMP Committee at the meetings (Europe & Middle East) of the Consultative Advisory Group (CAG) of the International Auditing & Assurance Standards Board (IAASB)
• Between 2002 and 2004, Chairman of the Airport Charges Regulatory Board, a statutory board established in 2002 as part of the liberalisation of the local aviation sector and charged with the regulation of local airport charges
